Draft v0.1 — in progress

Context Contract Specification

The Context Contract Specification defines machine-readable agreements about meaning, access, evidence and actions: what context an agent may use for a task, under which policy, with which proof. It is the connecting link between open semantic assets and any execution platform.

Why it comes first

It is the first shared artefact, the hinge between open architecture and platform integrations.

What a context contract covers

01

Meaning

References to ontology concepts

02

Access

Policy & authorisation

03

Evidence

Provenance, freshness, citations

04

Actions

What an agent may do with it

Relationship to MCP & A2A

MCP and A2A define how context and agents connect. A Context Contract defines which context is valid, permitted and evidenced for a task. We aim to complement, not compete.
